We wanted to create a calming and interesting experience for users, whether it was their first or one hundredth time visiting the Institute’s site. We designed a custom WordPress site that features a mood evoking background image that changes every time you refresh the homepage. Below the welcome image you’ll learn a bit about the Institute before being encouraged to explore other areas of the site. In addition to web design and development services, I worked with Neil to create Workshop cover pages and 3D renderings of book and resource covers.
Prior to the development of this site, Neil used his blog to promote his books. He never had a home for his titles, so we developed a dedicated page on the new site for all of his books, including his latest The Happiness Equation. Visitors can purchase through the listed retailers, and Neil can earn commissions through the affiliate links. So go ahead and buy a book!
“Throughout my life I’ve worked with a lot of people. Most are okay. Some are good. Very few are thoroughly excellent. Sarah Hunter is in that very few. Because when you work with someone you can check references, sample old work, comb through the portfolio. But what you don’t really know is: Will they confidently tell me no to things that feel off brand? Will they take what I’m asking for and add three more features I didn’t think about but now immediately love? These are the invisible leaps of faith we all take when we work with anybody. But after working with her I now know it’s not a leap of faith with Sarah anymore. She’s in my bank. The keeper list. And I won’t use anyone else.”
